Assessors approve FY2026 tax warrants, nullify overlay vote
Board of Assessors · Meeting of January 12, 2026
Holliston Assessors sign $61.7 million in FY2026 tax warrants and reverse a prior decision. Chair Jeffrey Marshall and board members Amy Gow and Patrick Hafford voted unanimously to nullify the September 16, 2025 authorization to release $100,000 from the Overlay Account after Massachusetts Department of Revenue disallowed the transfer; the board will instead request a Reserve Fund transfer to cover FY2026 recertification costs. In executive session, the board unanimously approved 11 administrative abatements totaling approximately $2.6 million in abated value and ratified 20 Chapter 61A and 61B conservation-land applications for FY2027.
