Board of Health approves rooster regulations, routes septic project to review.
Board of Health · Meeting of May 12, 2026
HOLLISTON — Board of Health approves final rooster regulations and nine Form A permits. Vice-Chairperson Brian Simons and Clerk Jay Leary unanimously adopted rooster regulations following Town Counsel revisions, clarifying that farms meeting the $1,000 gross sales threshold receive state right-to-farm protections regardless of acreage or zoning. The board also unanimously approved food permit fee waivers for Ahronian Landscape to distribute free popcorn at Pride Day, Celebrate Holliston, and the Holliston Stroll.
Health Director Scott Moles submitted concerns about 762 Adams Street, which applied for solar panel permits before addressing outstanding septic requirements; the board requested the owners attend the next meeting.
