HOLLISTON — Conservation Commission approves certificates, schedule, and septic system order. The seven-member board voted unanimously to issue a Certificate of Compliance for a dormant project at 1014 Highland Street and to adopt the 2026 meeting calendar with a February date adjustment. In public hearings, the Commission approved an Order of Conditions for a septic replacement at 75 Ridge Road and issued an Order of Resource Area Delineation for a Cassandra Lane wetland boundary, both unanimously.
A wetland violation at 129 Mechanic Street was flagged during routine inspection: an unpermitted gravel driveway within the 50-foot buffer zone installed by the property owner after 21 months of seeking town access solutions; the Commission directed staff to follow up on a required application. The Commission heard from Mass Audubon on a Warren Woods stewardship plan and discussed regional trail coordination with the Town Forest Committee and NEMBA, with the town prioritizing drainage improvements for MassTrails funding and a Community Preservation Committee application for a town-wide trails assessment due January 16.
