Council on Aging approves budget increases and van driver support letter.

HOLLISTON — Council on Aging approves FY27 budget increases and van driver support initiatives. Director Cynthia Listewnik secured Select Board approval for a $1,500 increase to professional development funding, bringing the line item to $3,000, after a discrepancy with the Town Manager's proposal. The Council unanimously approved a motion to draft a letter supporting a full-time van driver position, which Listewnik emphasized is less expensive and more efficient than the current part-time model, citing wage competitiveness concerns and transportation program costs exceeding the town's assessment.
The Outreach Coordinator position has been posted with five applications and one interview scheduled; the Program/Outreach Assistant role continues under Allegra Denehy pending a new hire.
