Economic Development Committee tables playbook work, hears 495/Metrowest pitch.

Economic Development Committee · Meeting of March 4, 2026

HOLLISTON — The Holliston Economic Development Committee heard a briefing from the 495/Metrowest Partnership, a regional business development organization serving 37 towns. Jason Palitsch described the Partnership's grant guidance, site identification, and REDO fund resources, identifying housing shortages and inconsistent pricing as barriers particular to Holliston. Committee members, including Glenn Brown, discussed the relationship between business growth and the town's Envisioning Future Holliston strategic plan and emphasized the need for an updated Master Plan, which last received updates in 1999.

The committee tabled discussion of a new business playbook and industrial park education work due to time constraints and indicated the EDC Coordinator replacement posting will likely occur after town meeting in May.
