HOLLISTON — Finance Committee unanimously approves FY2027 budget recommendations for May town meeting. Chair Ken Szajda's committee backed a $45.874 million school budget, allocating $60,000 in state aid toward a half-time Out of District Coordinator position to address ballooning special education tuition and transportation costs. The omnibus budget also includes $1.853 million for DPW Highway, $3.955 million for Police, and $331,543 for Council on Aging, drawing on roughly $204,000 in newly available House budget state aid and raising the Reserve Fund to $400,000.
