Finance Committee · Meeting of September 29, 2026

HOLLISTON — Finance Committee recommended six warrant articles for the October Town Meeting, approving $400,000 in stabilization funds. The panel unanimously approved $150,000 to the General Stabilization Fund and $250,000 to the Pension Stabilization Fund from Free Cash, plus $1.27 million in capital expenditure appropriations. The Capital Budget article includes $1.27 million from the Capital Expenditure Fund, $100,000 from Water Retained Earnings for EPA lead and copper compliance, and $1.8 million from the Water Infrastructure Fund for water main replacement.

The committee recommended favorable action on the Placentino-Miller roof repair project and deferred decisions on a solar array purchase and the Constitution Village street lights petition. Town Manager Frank Gervasio reported Free Cash of $774,463, approximately $759,000 short of the town's $1.5 million capital reserve policy target.
