HOLLISTON — Finance Committee reviews FY2027 budgets for six departments. Chair Ken Szajda and the committee heard presentations from Town Manager Frank Gervasio, Conservation Agent Tyler Skrzypiec, D.P.W. Director Sean Reese, Police Chief Matthew Stone, and Fire Chief Michael Cassidy on FY2027 proposals for DPW, Snow and Ice, Police, Fire, Ambulance, Emergency Management, and Conservation.
Committee members questioned a nine percent salary increase for Conservation, water filtration and PFAS remediation costs, the Programmatic Stabilization Fund replenishment for a new Town Engineer, and increases in Ambulance overtime and holiday pay. The Select Board will vote on the recommended budget April 6, 2026.
