Historical Commission approves archival supplies list and plans 1776 timeline display.

Historical Commission · Meeting of March 18, 2026

HOLLISTON — The Historical Commission unanimously approved an archival supplies list for its collection area at 1750 Washington, with Frank Chamberlain to order the items using five hundred dollars from Community Preservation Committee funds. The commission also advanced plans to display a newly completed timeline of 1776 events in Holliston at Town Meeting on May 11, with Library display to follow. Town Manager Frank Gervasio proposed making "Holliston History Day" an annual event, beginning with a focus on the Rail Trail and Hydrant Three; a planning meeting is set for March 26 at noon.

The commission discussed potential funding sources, including the Arthur Ashley Williams Foundation and Haselton Gove Family Foundation, for a parks collaboration on wayside signage at Stoddard Park and Pleasure Point.
