Historical Commission schedules 1776 timeline display for May Town Meeting

Historical Commission · Meeting of February 18, 2026

Holliston Historical Commission advances 1776 timeline project for May Town Meeting. Vice Chair Frank Chamberlain and members Joanne Hulbert, Katie Seekell, Pat Pereira, and Melissa Kretching (remote) unanimously approved January minutes and green-lit foam-core displays depicting military and civilian activities, with member Melissa Kretching offering to print materials. The Commission scheduled March 2 and March 14 meetings to develop collection management policies and access the town's historical records at 1750 Washington Street, where Chamberlain will coordinate vault room access with James Keast.

Katie Seekell agreed to chair a new Holliston Garden Club committee planning low-growing perennials around the Civil War Memorial following removal of existing landscaping.
