Holliston Committees Pack Wednesday Meeting Schedule

Holliston town committees have a busy week ahead, with five boards meeting Wednesday alone, while the Parks Commission and Conservation Commission both continue seeking volunteers to fill open seats.
TOWN HALL
The Parks Commission has an open seat available, according to the town's News Flash feed, adding to a running list of Holliston boards seeking volunteers this summer. The Conservation Commission also continues to look for a volunteer to join its ranks, the town said.
Town Hall's calendar shows a full slate of committee activity this week: the Economic Development Committee, Council on Aging, School Committee Budget Subcommittee, Library Trustees, and Community Preservation Committee all meet Wednesday, August 5, with the Planning Board and Cable Advisory Committee following Thursday, August 6.
SCHOOLS
Holliston Public Schools continues to build out its back-to-school calendar, with several orientation sessions posted for later this month, including sessions for new Placentino first- and second-grade students on August 19, a Placentino back-to-school open house on August 24, and kindergarten and Montessori orientations on August 26 and 27.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The Holliston Public Library's Board of Trustees meets Wednesday, August 5, at the library, part of the broader wave of committee meetings set for that day. The library continues to promote its online author talk series, produced in partnership with the Library Speakers Consortium, including an upcoming conversation billed as "Humor, Heart, and Reflective Rural Stories with Michael Perry."
