Holliston Crews Push Through Six-Street Repaving Push This Week

HOLLISTON — Town road crews are working through a six-street repaving push this week after the project's start was pushed back to Aug. 10, and Holliston is asking residents to step up for an open seat on the Conservation Commission.

Work crews are repairing Pleasant Street, Spring Street, School Street, Exchange Street, Mechanic Street and Union Street this week, according to an update posted on the town's website. The project had been delayed until Aug. 10; the town says additional streets are being addressed the week of Aug. 10 as well. No new completion date was posted.

Separately, the town is looking for a volunteer to fill an open seat on the Conservation Commission, according to a notice posted to the town's News Flash page. No application deadline was listed.

The Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra is scheduled to perform in Holliston on Saturday, Aug. 15, according to the town's community calendar.

COMING UP

The town's Wellhead Protection Q&A Workshop is set for Wednesday, Aug. 12, at Upper Town Hall and remotely, offering residents a chance to ask questions about the groundwater protection bylaw changes under review. That same day, the Housing Authority, Community Preservation Committee, Trails Committee and School Building Committee all have meetings on the calendar, per the town's public schedule.

The Sewer Commission and the School Committee Budget Subcommittee meet Thursday, Aug. 13. The Budget Subcommittee returns Tuesday, Aug. 18, the same day the Holliston Farmers Market is scheduled to run, according to the town calendar.
