Holliston Launches Summer Street Paving Program Starting June 29

Holliston kicks off its summer street paving program today and reminds residents of adjusted Recycle Center hours as the town moves into the Fourth of July holiday stretch.

TOWN HALL

Street crews are on the move starting Monday, June 29, as the town launches its summertime street paving projects. Residents should expect lane restrictions and temporary delays on affected roads through the coming weeks. The town's News Flash did not specify which streets are first in the rotation, so drivers should watch for signage and check the town website for updates.

On the waste and recycling front, the town posted a reminder this morning about Recycle Center hours — residents are encouraged to check the current schedule at the town's civic alerts page (https://www.townofholliston.us/CivicAlerts.aspx?aid=77) before making a trip. A separate notice confirms there will be no trash collection delay on Friday, July 3, so curbside pickup runs on its normal schedule that day.

Looking ahead to Tuesday, June 30, Town Hall has a full evening agenda: the Board of Assessors meets in Room 105, the Finance Committee convenes remotely, and the Envisioning Future Holliston working group gathers in Room 105 and remotely. The Open Space Committee meeting scheduled for that evening has been cancelled.

The Holliston Farmers Market also returns Tuesday.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

Holliston Public Library will be closed Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 for the Independence Day holiday. The library returns to regular hours the rest of the week — Monday through Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Digital borrowing through Libby, Hoopla, and Kanopy remains available around the clock.
