SCHOOLS Holliston Public Schools, led by Superintendent Susan Kustka, has begun posting its back-to-school calendar. New students at Sam Placentino Elementary School will have an orientation session Aug. 19, followed by a Placentino back-to-school open house Aug. 24 and kindergarten and Montessori classroom orientations Aug. 26 and 27.

COMMUNITY & ARTS The Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra is scheduled to perform in Holliston on Saturday, Aug. 15, according to the town's events calendar, adding a classical-music date to the summer lineup alongside the town's ongoing Tuesday concert and farmers market series downtown.
