Library Trustees discuss master plan update and budget challenges

Holliston Library Trustees deliberated over the town's master plan update and examined FY27 budget concerns. Director Jeffrey Smith reported a FY26 overspend of $12,687, with staffing costs exceeding budget by $1,165.37 due to paid time off. Presentations by Marlene Fine and Pat Boyd sought board endorsement of the 10-year master plan, originally created in 1999, ahead of an October Town Meeting vote.
Vice Chair Kristen Wiwczar said she will provide a grammatically edited version of the Internet Use Policy for board review prior to an anticipated September vote.
