Planning Board backs kennel definition; continues Cassandra Lane subdivision hearing

Holliston Planning Board unanimously approved a zoning by-law amendment to define "kennels" in Section I-E and referred it to Town Meeting, while continuing its public hearing on a 2 Pines LLC Cassandra Lane Extension subdivision to June 18, 2026. Vice Chairperson Barbara Peatie presided as the board adopted Fire Chief preferences for a reduced cul-de-sac on the revised plans and directed the Town Planner to draft a pending denial decision for Power Paving Company's 1700 Washington Street site plan application. Public testimony raised concerns about permit caps and performance standards in residential zoning that members agreed to address at a future date.
