HOLLISTON — Select Board approves HCAT funding and grapples with Norfolk Street cost overrun. Chair Damon Dimmick, Vice Chair Tina Hein, and Clerk Ben Sparrell voted unanimously to authorize Town Manager Frank Gervasio to sign a one-year grant agreement with HCAT for $41,996 through June 30, 2027, to cover a shortfall from reduced payments by Comcast and Verizon. DPW Director Sean Reese reported that the Norfolk Street infrastructure project, originally estimated at $5.6 million in 2024, has risen to $7.8 million, or approximately $9.2 million to $9.3 million with standard contingency.

Vice Chair Hein expressed frustration that the cost increase has failed to meet voter expectations set by the original debt exclusion vote.
