HOLLISTON — Sewer Commission refines $4.7 million MassWorks grant application for collection system serving 71 parcels, due midnight June 3. Chair Stacia Gelineau and members John Cronin, Kevin Cornwell, and James Keast reviewed grant narrative sections, project scope, and budget reconciliation with the engineer's $5.7 million total construction estimate. The project builds on a prior $1.5 million state grant and $1.092 million in federal congressionally directed spending from Congressman James McGovern.
Easement agreements have been signed by 17 of 31 property owners, with 14 remaining respondents expressing interest pending engineering details on pipe routing and timeline. Wastewater treatment plant bidding opens June 5, with construction targeted for summer 2026; collection system design engineering is scheduled for completion by spring 2027, with trenching and connections to follow.
