HOLLISTON — Board of Health approves annual appointments and prepares tobacco-regulation review. Chair Jay Leary, Vice-Chair Peter Liffiton, and Clerk Audrea Szabatura unanimously endorsed re-appointments of 11 town agents and inspectors including Health Director Scott Moles and Tobacco Control Agent Parivallal Thillaigovindan. The board also unanimously waived the food permit fee for the Holliston Lions Club carnival on July 8-11.
Parivallal Thillaigovindan and Zoe Moreau of the Holliston Drug and Alcohol Awareness Coalition presented proposed tobacco regulations that would set a minimum cigar price of $2.50-$2.90 and restrict nicotine pouch sales; the board requested a simplified version for review.
