Board of Health schedules October hearing on tobacco regulations

HOLLISTON — The Board of Health scheduled an October 13 hearing on tobacco regulation changes, proposing minimum prices of $2.90 for single cigars and $5.80 for multi-packs, and restricting oral nicotine pouch sales to adult-only retail stores. The board will investigate Kratom sales in Holliston following Massachusetts' one-year moratorium on the substance, effective August 28. A resident spoke during public comment about her family's experience with Kratom and 7-OH addiction.
