Select Board · Meeting of September 14, 2026

Holliston Select Board sends groundwater bylaw to Town Meeting, closes 20-article fall warrant. The board voted unanimously to place a Groundwater Protection District zoning amendment, adding seven land-use prohibitions in wellhead zones, on the October 19 warrant, after the Envisioning Future Holliston Committee approved the draft 4-1. Sustainability Coordinator Amelia Landau also briefed the board on a new state consolidated local permit for small clean energy projects, due to be operational by October 1; Chair Benjamin Sparrell said a proposed developer-negotiation provision "feels" like "a bribe." The board approved a $2,500 payment to the Claflin Hill Performance Foundation, acknowledged three warrants totaling more than $4.8 million, and, jointly with the Parks Commission, appointed Mike Carvalho to a commission vacancy through May 2027.

Free cash, estimated between $2.5 million and $3 million, won't be finalized until a September 30 state deadline.
