Holliston School Committee approved a three-year, $358,359.54 contract for a new K-5 reading curriculum. Curriculum specialists Jenny Mann and Caitlin Kinski told the committee the Amplify CKLA program outscored a rival on independent review rubrics, with Mann saying the district wanted "kids reading real books in their hands." The purchase draws on $275,000 in town meeting capital funds, a $97,200 state PRISM grant and $13,640 for professional development, though a member identified only as Dan said the budget breakdown "didn't make sense until 10 minutes ago." The committee also approved 42 school choice seats for 2026-27, including four new French immersion first-grade seats, and learned the state will conduct an on-site compliance review June 2-3.
