Holliston School Committee Interviews Superintendent Candidate at Special Session

School Committee · Meeting of January 28, 2026

Holliston School Committee interviews a superintendent candidate in a wide-ranging special session. The School Committee, led by Chair Sarah Fitzgerald and including members Tracey Floeckher, Francis Ogura, Dawn Neborsky, and Hilary Bresnahan, questioned a sitting superintendent from North Brookfield for more than an hour on topics including district finance, equity programming, staff retention, and a proposed high school replacement. The candidate described closing an approximately $800,000 budget gap in his current district by converting building-based art and music positions to district-wide roles and reducing a facilities director post from full-time to half-time.

On the high school building, he noted the Massachusetts School Building Authority admitted Holliston to its eligibility period in December for potential renovation or replacement of the 56-year-old structure, calling it "a very exciting time for Holliston." No vote was taken and no hire date was announced.
