Holliston Select Board establishes high school building committee structure and approves Level 3 budget. The board voted 3-0 at its April 6 meeting to accept a 14-member School Building Committee designation giving the Select Board 11 appointment slots and authorizing the School Committee to make 3 appointments, then voted again 3-0 to formally transfer that appointing authority — part of a multi-year Massachusetts School Building Authority process. A $2.5 million high school feasibility study remains on the draft May Town Meeting warrant, but Vice Chair Damon Dimmick pushed back on the figure, saying the town had assembled only $1.9 million through "decisions and maneuvers that have been analyzed and shared back with this board" and calling for a comparative study before the warrant is finalized.
The board also approved the Level 3 FY2027 recommended budget 3-0, conditionally approved a disputed Marshall Street utility pole installation requiring an Eversource site walkthrough with abutter Carolyn Dykema of 429 Marshall Street, and directed Holliston Cable Access Television to refine its financials before presenting a town grant article — with Town Manager Frank Gervasio identifying roughly $42,000 in operating funds toward HCAT's $52,000 request.
