School Committee Elects Ogura New Chair

School Committee · Meeting of June 11, 2026

Holliston's School Committee elected Francis Ogura chair and Dawn Neborsky vice chair, then recommended architect Andrew Kinnean and longtime resident Lynn Hoffman Bertucci for two voting seats on the town's new High School Building Committee, with teacher-union president Jamie Caton tapped as a non-voting member. The committee unanimously approved spending $130,000 of a $150,000 capital allocation on a new Lab-Aids science curriculum for grades 6-8, phased in starting with sixth grade next year. The board also honored four retiring administrators, including Superintendent Kuska, who warned in farewell remarks that "administrative leadership has been systematically pushed out" of district decision-making.

Officials disclosed that an email exposed some students' names, ID numbers and summer-school schedules this week, though they said no disability information was compromised. English teacher Alex Drum told the board the district has not funded promised summer hours for rewriting curriculum ahead of a fall schedule change, warning "it's the students who will suffer as a result."
