HOLLISTON — Board of Assessors approves revised Proposition 2½ exemption article for Town Meeting. Chair Jeffrey Marshall, board members Amy Gow and Patrick Hafford voted unanimously for Article 16, which caps Proposition 2½ debt exclusion exemptions at 50 percent of borrowing costs per fiscal year, addressing Finance Committee concerns that exemption recipients should bear a portion of debt exclusion costs. The board approved a Motor Vehicle Excise Tax Commitment for $330,178.13 and voted unanimously in closed session to approve 11 property tax abatement applications totaling $770,900 in abated value.
