Board of Assessors approves abatements, defers FY27 review

Holliston Board of Assessors approves abatements totaling $29,045 in tax reductions, authorizes FY27 form submission. The board approved multiple abatements during executive session, addressing assessment errors including an acreage miscalculation, grading error, and shed data-entry error, as well as administrative issues affecting tax-exempt property, donations, and closed businesses. Principal Assessor Kevin Rudden explained each correction.
The board authorized Rudden to submit fiscal 2027 assessment forms to the Department of Revenue but deferred full review of preliminary valuations to August 10, 2026.
