Commission approves treatment plant outside work scope and bids

HOLLISTON — Sewer Commission approves treatment plant upgrade scope and authorizes bids for summer work. Chair John Cronin led the panel in authorizing outside work for the wastewater plant including tank installation, helical piles, and remote mechanical filtration system installation, with costs between $125,000 and $150,000 estimated to fit within original budget. Bids are expected by late July or early August, with construction intended before school year.
The Commission is coordinating a $1.09 million federal earmark with MassWorks grant funding through an 80/20 match.
