Holliston Sewer Commission Discovers $400K DEP Grant Windfall; Project Funding Expands to $3-4M. The Sewer Commission learned that a $400,000 Department of Environmental Protection grant applied for in 2022 remains available for reimbursement through June 30, 2027, expanding total project funding to approximately $3 million to $4 million combined with prior Congressional Directed Spending commitments. Legal counsel Elizabeth Lydon presented a recommended bylaw framework covering commission establishment, statutory powers, fee adoption, and enforcement, with the October town meeting to be used as an informational forum.
The commission accepted a revised easement agreement and sewer design is approximately 40 to 50 percent complete.
