HOLLISTON — Historical Commission discusses fire station preservation funding request. The Holliston Historical Commission met August 19 to discuss Community Preservation Act funding for restoration of the Central Fire Station at 59 Central Street, totaling approximately 398,500 dollars. Facilities Director James Keast presented the proposal, which includes window restoration (approximately 48,600 dollars), stucco repair (approximately 133,000 dollars), and roof replacement (approximately 216,000 to 217,000 dollars) for the historic circa-1930 building portion.
