Commission plans archives humidity fix and Jasper's Rock marker

Holliston Historical Commission advances preservation projects with new planning partnership. Chair Sara Zarrelli announced town planner Sarah Scott, who has preservation experience, will begin work in mid-August and engage the commission on design standards. Member Greg Schumacher reported archives office humidity measured 63 percent, above the recommended 50-60 percent standard, spurring plans for dehumidifier solutions and potential Community Preservation Committee funding.
The commission approved a wayside marker design for Jasper's Rock — a simple black and white post with QR code — based on research suggesting the site served as a surveyor's mark. Prior meeting minutes were approved unanimously.
