Zoning Board approves four residential variances in single meeting
Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of July 28, 2026
Holliston Zoning Board approves four residential variances in single meeting. Chair Jay Peabody, Vice Chair Elizabeth Dembitzer, and Clerk Vladimir Nechev voted unanimously on all four applications. The board granted dimensional variances at 81 Highland Street and 339 South Street allowing home additions to encroach on setbacks, conditioned on minimum distances of 23 feet and 32 feet to respective lot lines.
At 230 Winter Street, the board approved lot-frontage relief on a steeply sloped property, limiting any new dwelling to 4,600 square feet. A fourth variance at 1067 Washington Street addressed similar lot-frontage issues. All variances require recording at the Registry of Deeds within two years with no appeals pending.
