Economic Development Committee assumes broader business support role

HOLLISTON — Economic Development Committee takes more active business advocacy role. The committee welcomed EDC Coordinator Kevin Rudden, transitioning from retirement as the town assessor, and confirmed Karina Voltov as a non-voting volunteer. Members agreed to assume direct leadership in helping local businesses navigate town processes and address ongoing conflicts, citing water and sewer limitations and startup barriers as key challenges.
The committee plans to coordinate with the newly formed Holliston Business Association and strengthen inter-board communication, with Planning Board member David Thorn suggesting joint meetings.
