Holliston assessors approve tax abatements and exemptions

Holliston Board of Assessors unanimously approves tax abatements and exemptions. The board, chaired by Jeffrey Marshall and including members Amy Gow and Patrick Hafford, unanimously approved five abatement applications totaling $582,600 in property value and $8,327.37 in tax relief during the March 17 meeting. The board also unanimously approved 19 exemption applications under the Community Preservation Act and denied one exemption for an applicant who had already received a hardship exemption.
Staff member Kevin Rudden reported follow-up action on resident Michael Merlis, noting that a refund check was hand-delivered on March 10.
